Idee Confuse band was born during an early June's night in 2009 from the gathering of different musical experiences.
After a first period dedicated to know each other, playing songs from other bands such as Goblin, PFM, Porcupine Tree, TOOL and Dream Theater, the members started working on their own musical project, initially set to progressive but that is then evolved, experimenting and mixing sounds also very distant from each other. This continuous search leads them to define their musical style identified with the Art Rock.
In 2010 and 2011 Idee Confuse played several shows in Rome in various venues like “Felt Music Club”, “Black Out Rock Club” and “Stazione Birra”. The Band reached the final phase of Emergenza Festival 2011 contest, ending the tournament among the first 10 bands of the whole middle Italy.
In October 2013 was realized their first album, “Linea di Confine”, on CD, completely self-produced.
The genesis of the album was not completed in block but it collects songs born in different contexts and moments. This should have excluded conceptual unity, while deviating from the idea of concept album, which is instead found in the theme of "border line", which is identified in the confused area where the disappearance of certainty and past references begins to give place to new sensations and reality, which are not yet known but perceptible. It is close to the boundary line that the conflict between reality and illusion, the relationship between appearance and essence, the difference between individuality and collectivity, between hope and denial are mixed up and confused.
The album consists of seven tracks, starting from progressive influences, develops into many exceptions, searching of wider spaces of expression, growing up through the post-rock and psychedelic sounds till, when necessary, to the metal.

Le Idee Confuse nascono a inizio giugno 2009, dall’incontro di diverse esperienze musicali.
Dopo un primo periodo dedicato a conoscersi suonando cover di gruppi come i Goblin, PFM, Porcupine Tree, Tool e Dream Theatre, iniziano a lavorare a un proprio progetto musicale, in principio impostato su sonorità prog ma che è poi evoluto, sperimentando e mescolando sonorità anche assai distanti tra loro. Questa continua ricerca li ha portati a definire un loro stile musicale identificabile con l'Art Rock.
Nel 2010 e 2011 si esibiscono in diversi Live a Roma, in locali tra cui il Felt Music Club, il Black Out Rock Club e Stazione Birra. Finalisti all’interno del contest Emergenza Festival 2011, si classificano tra i primi dieci gruppi nel centro Italia.
A ottobre 2013 esce Linea di confine, primo album da studio delle Idee Confuse, su CD, totalmente autoprodotto.
La genesi dell’album non è avvenuta in blocco ma raccoglie brani nati in differenti contesti e momenti. Ciò avrebbe dovuto escludere un’unità concettuale marcata che invece, pur esulando dall’idea di concept album, si ritrova nel tema della “linea di confine”, individuabile nella zona confusa in cui la scomparsa di certezze e riferimenti passati inizia a dar posto a nuove sensazioni e realtà, non ancora note ma percepibili. È in prossimità della linea di confine che il conflitto tra realtà e illusione, il rapporto tra apparenza ed essenza, la differenza tra singolarità e collettività, tra speranza e negazione si mescolano e confondono.
L’album, costituito da sette tracce, partendo da riferimenti Prog, si sviluppa in numerose accezioni, alla ricerca di più ampi spazi di espressione, dilatandosi tramite richiami post rock e psichedelici e indurendosi all’occorrenza in sonorità più metal
